My puppy Ollie and I had a 1‑2‑1 session with Holley this morning. The session was great! I learnt so much information and great tips too. The information taught by Holley will stay with us and will really help in the crucial weeks to come. As a first time dog owner I was doing the best I could, but I was struggling with my 9 month old dog. Biting issues, ignoring me, running away and heading straight for other dogs… Holley has been absolutely brilliant. No question has been too daft, she has explained so much about natural dog behaviour that I was unaware of. I’m seeing so much progress, and I’m definitely not the stressed owner I was before. I absolutely recommend Holley, and her training, without hesitation.

Just finished the 6 week Puppy Life Skills class at Ruff Training and Welfare. Holley was incredibly knowledgeable — arming us with so many tips and tricks to help us with our puppies now and as they mature. With positive reinforcement, Holley showed us how to train our pups — her way with dogs is incredible. Thank you Holley for sharing your wisdom, Tiggy loved the classes.

We had a few issues with our little cockerpoo puppy Nellie… Holley taught us several techniques to manage the problems we were having. Holley also came on a walk with me and helped me to read Nellie’s body language to understand why she behaves like she does. Holley is a superb Dog trainer, she is so knowledgable and passionate and I would not hesitate to recommend her.

We’ve had Holley over twice so far to help us with general training for our 8 month old Vizsla. Her home visits are absolutely brilliant. The follow up emails are packed full of brilliant information for us to work through — it’s like having Holley here with us.

Just completed a 6 week puppy training class with Holley. She is really knowledgeable and provides great advice, recommendations and support to train your puppy in the best way. Nova has definitely improved following the classes. Would 100% recommend anyone with a new puppy to attend.

Absolutely 100% recommend Holley. Freddie had a 6 week course that has started him off with the necessities to have a great relationship with us. Her advice on recall was the best and we have dogs now that have excellent recall off the lead. When we started Ruff puppy training classes, Nancie was an excitable, nippy, jumpy 11 week old Labrador pup. Holley welcomed us to classes, helping us to feel at ease with training and encouraging perseverance with calm, repetitive exercises. The progress I have seen is just amazing. My beautiful puppy is so happy, our home is calmer and we are all so thankful! Holley is the best.

I signed myself and my wcs Luna up for Ruff Scent classes. I had reservations as we’d had mixed experiences elsewhere and Luna is anxious… Holley was amazing and helped Luna cope in this whole new situation. By the end we had made so much progress with both Luna’s scent training and general well‑being. I really can’t thank Holley enough for what she has done for both of us!

Holley was brilliant with Acer when doing our puppy classes. We learned a lot of useful information and techniques that we now use every day! Would recommend.

The best thing about the advice that Holley gave us was that it was completely focused on making Mungo’s life better, not just training him to do stuff. Her holistic approach means that she is looking at all aspects of the dog including diet, exercise and personality. Mungo is a happier dog which means I’m a happier human. Perfect!

After struggling to find a puppy class, I looked online for a one‑to‑one dog trainer and came across Holley. She showed me techniques to help with walking to avoid pulling and distraction. Holley is such a lovely lady and truly dedicated to her work with dogs. I would highly recommend Holley to anyone wanting some one‑to‑one puppy training. Just wish I had come across her sooner.

Just finished our 8 week introductory to scent work and loved it. Working my cocker spaniel mentally as well as physically is very important and this has given him a brain work out that he needs. Holley works with each dog on their own individual need and gets the best results for you and your dog. Highly recommend for any dog owner.

Holley was fantastic when we asked her for help with our 6 year old Cockapoo who had taken over our sofa and was being very aggressive. I’ve been to many different training places over the years. Holley is amazing! She seems to be able to read dogs’ minds. The best thing about Holley is that all training is done by rewards. My dogs always love attending training with Holley as they are praised, rewarded and stimulated.

I recently attended Holley’s scent work training classes with my dog Archie (Cocker Spaniel). Both myself and Archie enjoyed attending the classes, Holley was very professional in conducting the training. I would thoroughly recommend her services.

My GSD Poppy took to Holley straight away. Holley came to the house to exercise and check on Poppy while I was out on a couple of long day trips. When I came home Poppy was happy and relaxed — and probably disappointed it was me and not Holley! Glad we have found Ruff!
