Training Field Rules & Terms and Conditions

Bookings

• Please enter and exit the training field within your booked time slot – a buffer period is left between bookings to keep sessions from overlapping, so vacate promptly when your session ends.
• The large double main gates are padlocked on your arrival and aren’t escape-proof, so please don’t release your dog until you’ve reached the enclosed inner field area.
• You’re welcome to drive your car into the training field itself if you struggle holding your dog from car to field.
• Please clean up after your dog using the bins provided and biodegradable waste bags.
• Card payment is taken at the time of booking to secure your slot. Pricing is correct at the time of booking but may occasionally change.
• Please check you’ve received a confirmation email before arriving at the training field.
• Please leave the field in a clean and tidy condition.
• There are no lights at the training field, so please don’t book in the hours of darkness.
• No admittance to the training field without a booking.

Cancellations

No refunds are issued for cancellations or no-shows. You can reschedule your booking to another available time, as long as you contact Holley at least 1 hour before your booking starts.

Dog health & behaviour

• Please don’t bring dogs with illnesses such as kennel cough or sickness and diarrhoea.
• Ruff Dog Training reserves the right to cease any hire agreement with immediate effect should we deem a dog unsuitable due to behaviour or health.
• Dogs are never to be left unattended in the training field.

Children

• Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times – this is anyone under the age of 18.
• Please don’t allow children to climb on the fence, gate or equipment.
• Ruff Dog Training accepts no responsibility for any children on the premises.

Water

Water is only sometimes provided, so please bring your own water for your dog.

Safety & general

• Keep dogs leashed when walking to and from the car, and make sure gates are properly closed before letting your dog off the lead.
• Please don’t let your dog use any agility equipment in the field unless Holley has given you prior permission – this protects the equipment and prevents injuries.
• A longline is always available (currently in the trailer on-site) for dogs likely to jump a 4ft fence. Use of a longline is advisable within the paddock until your dog is used to coming back to you. Larger dogs and dogs that jump fences should take extra care.
• Please don’t touch the horses or the electric fence.
• If you arrive early, please wait in your car in the lay-by opposite the main field until your booked slot – please don’t get out of your car until the previous client has their dog back in their car.
• Never enter the field if it’s in use – please contact Holley immediately if someone is staying past their slot or entering early.
• Always shut the gate on departure, even if the next client is waiting – this confirms every user has booked. Please don’t share access or the padlock code with anyone who hasn’t booked.
• Smoking, open fires and the use of BBQs are not permitted on-site.
• Please take your own rubbish home with you – there’s no bin on-site for general rubbish.
• There are no toilet facilities on-site.
• We advise all clients to insure their dog for all circumstances, including third-party liability, to cover their period of hire.
• The training field is for the sole use of canine exercise/training with your dog.
• Ruff Dog Training accepts no responsibility for any death or injury caused to a client, or damage to their property, while on-site. Clients use the training field and car park at their own risk.
• Ruff Dog Training accepts no responsibility for any death or injury to a dog, or resulting vet bills.

Security

• We endeavour to keep the field secure with regular checks. However, due to its rural location, fencing may occasionally be compromised by wildlife, and strong-willed dogs may find a way of escaping.
• Please let us know of any security concerns, and don’t let your dog off the lead if you’re unsure.
• Ruff Dog Training accepts no responsibility for escaped dogs.
• The fence is 4ft high – please don’t allow dogs to jump up at the fence and gate, or dig the ground excessively. If your dog digs a hole, please backfill it to prevent an escape route or injury to others.
• Horses will usually be visible when you’re in the training field.
• The rural setting brings certain hazards, such as wild animal burrows, uneven ground and slippery/muddy conditions in wet weather.

Data protection

Ruff Dog Training acts as a data controller with respect to gathering and using your personal data, and is committed to safeguarding your privacy and keeping your information secure and protected against unauthorised or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. Suitable physical, technical and managerial procedures are used to safeguard the information we collect. We do not pass your information on to third-party companies.

Ruff Dog Training reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions without prior notice.
